I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday and New Year. I sure did travelling to South Carolina for a family wedding, a few days in the NYC, and up to Vermont to visit good friends – a nice break to nourish my soul!
This photo is the view I have travelling from my home in New Paltz to my office in Stone Ridge - pretty awesome don't you think! My dear friend and fellow agent Anne Rajs took the picture, I think it's very painterly and magical. I'm reminded of how lucky I am to live, work and play is such a beautiful area of the state.
This is a real estate blog so let me get to it. Winter is a great time to buy a house 1) less buyer competition 2) sellers may be more motivated 3) if you really like a place in the gray winter, you’ll love it come spring! 4) interest rates are on the rise which can affect how much house a buyer can buy. Now is the time.
If you are looking to sell, do it now. Give me a call and we'll get started. Savvy buyers who come out in the snow are motivated to move in before spring AND to beat the hordes of spring buyers. PLUS, and equally important, get your house on the market now, and your listing will really stand out as a fresh listing. Local agents are watching everyday for new listings to send to their clients.
Stay warm, eat soup.
